Filing Hail Damage Insurance Claims
1. Contact your insurance company and your mortgage company
Call your insurance company’s claims department and file a claim for wind and hail damage. Inform them of the date and time the damage occurred. Call your Mortgage Company to ask them for a claim packet.
2. Your insurance company will assign an adjuster to your claim
Your insurance company will assign an adjuster to your claim who will call you to set up an appointment for inspection and damage assessment. The adjuster will assign a claim number and let you know when they will inspect your property and assess the extent of the damage.
3. Things to make note of when you talk to your adjuster
Claim number, date and time of the inspection and the adjuster’s name and phone number.
4. After you hear back from the adjuster, contact Peak Exteriors
Contact Peak Exteriors and give them your information you received from your adjuster.
Peak reps are trained to help negotiate the proper claim settlement and know what it takes to complete your roofing project. The insurance company’s responsibility is to bring your home back to the pre-storm condition and we will help to make sure you are fully compensated for all the damages
5. We will take care of the details with the insurance company
Peak Exteriors provides your insurance company with a full scope of the damage to ensure that there are no discrepancies on the size or estimating material, making the process clear, precise, and painless.
6. Once the settlement is determined
Once a settlement is figured, most insurance carriers mail the claim summary within 7-10 business days. The settlement is a guideline of specifications for the contractor to follow. The carriers use pre-determined prices, based on market analysis, for which they estimate each item. Once this claim summary arrives, contact your Peak representative to discuss the estimate and review the construction process.
